September 8, 2014  From Little Bighorn to Yellowstone Park

Today was moving day.  We had a nice drive from Hardin, MT through Billings and Bozeman on I-90 and then turned south to Yellowstone on Hwy 191 or 278 miles.  We are staying just outside the small town of West Yellowstone, MT which is right on the border of Wyoming and the entrance to Yellowstone National Park.

We have a nice site with a beautiful prairie view with mountains out the back.  We have a nice patio, picnic table, swing and barbeque grill (just what us vegetarians need!)

The RV park, a KOA,  is very nice and stays full. This is a very popular place for the RV crowd. We made these reservations last March!  We got hooked up by early afternoon and took a walk to discover what was available and to introduce Maggie to the other dogs in park.  We found a heated pool and hot tub not more than 150 feet from our site.  We made good use of it after dinner.  Was a great way to unwind after the drive.

Getting Maggie ready for her walk
September 9, 2014

We decided we were ready for a lay day.  We've been either driving or touring for over a month. Today we decided we would just be lazy, read, watch the tube.  We did just that and got our batteries charged.

We took some walks and talked to the other folk here about where they had been in the park; what to do; not to do, etc.  We are  getting ready to go into the park tomorrow and start exploring.
